THE 1218
We built our Class A from the Class A drawing in the Locomotive Cyclopedia and the Historic American Engineering Record’s photographs of No. 1218 at the Library of Congress, both in the public domain, with photographs by Mark Levisay and Willem van Valkenburg (CC BY 2.0) and the Norfolk & Western Historical Society’s archive for reference. Where none of them showed a part, we made our best guess.

THE GRAFFITI PRINT
The Kit Room’s graffiti print is laid from real writers’ tags, motion-captured with Graffiti Analysis and shared on 000000book.com: by Acid, Cherryk, Dsixxle, Scea, Rodney, Deee, Caraffi, Tarik, Lolo, Chad, Ggg, skinnipants, Andrei, Digitaria, bedpo, Adrienne Orlando, PacoTheCharm, Zatis and DNA crew Glasgow, and 20 more left unsigned. We simplified their lines and colored them.
